Our Dear Praying Family and Friends,
It has been awhile although some I know keep up with us on Face Book where I post from time to time and invite you to join us if you can. Janie and I find ourselves busy these days working on the school base doing Member Care somewhat and looking after Bill and Kelly’s two girls, Maddie and Sabra our granddaughters.
I have been working with our ITF crew but we had to move that program to Madang due to the high cost of operations and the lack of folk coming into the program in these hard days our world is facing financially. We said good bye to the last three German Interns last week with a morning breakfast and devotional time. This has been a delight for me the last two years and I will miss my time with them.
As Janie and I wrap it up here in PNG this coming school year we ask that you pray for us as we look for directions for our coming years as we leave here in June 2014. We have places we need to visit for the last time, tribes where we have worked over the years and people we have come to love. We are praying the four boys could all come over one last time before we leave this beautiful country and at least visit with Maile and his family. Maile is a young PNG man that grew up with our boys in the early days in PNG.
As we retire from PNG and head home we will be looking for direction as to where God would have us to finish out what years we have left to serve Him, as of now we both are in good health and good spirits and ready to keep plugging away in the ministry, wherever and whatever He has for us. We both just want to finish well.
We feel our time in PNG has been profitable and sure pleasing to us even if there where hard days and lonely dark nights those kind that pulls your soul nearer to the God we serve. It is so exciting to see what God is doing with all the new missionaries coming this way. God truly is working in mighty ways here in this far away country so far from home.
Janie and I have the ministry of encouraging our folk on the field here and we ask that you pray we would do it well and in a way that God can be felt in all we do. We want our lives to be who we are and not just a ministry something we work at. The love of God is the base of all encouragement and from all of you we pull much. Thank you for all of your prayer and financial support.
As we come back into the States we will come in through the North West and work our way into Tennessee visiting friends and churches on the way. Please pray that all these details will come together for us as we try to put it all together on paper and make plans as we go from one place to the other. We are so thankful for you all and everyone that is such a part of our ministry here and in the States and we would love to catch up and share our hearts with you once again about all God is doing in missions.
By God’s Grace and for His Glory,
Jack and Janie Housley
